Some problems only show up in a picture. An "allow any" rule hidden in a long policy table stands out as a large hub on a graph, and a missing connection between zones is obvious on a flow diagram. Delyan's visualizations turn a loaded configuration into interactive diagrams you can explore.
Find them under Visualizations in the sidebar.
What you can see
- How policies and objects connect. Spot objects nothing uses, overly broad rules that touch everything, and what depends on what.
- Traffic allowed between zones. See which zones and interfaces can talk to each other and how many rules allow it, so segmentation gaps and over-permissive paths are easy to find.
- Firewall and network topology. Map zones, interfaces, routes and connected networks, trace the path between two points, and check which zones can reach each other.
Note
Visualizations show what your policies allow, not live traffic. They are read-only and never change the firewall.
Tips
- Hover over any element for details.
- Click an element to focus on it and see what it connects to.
- Export the current view as an image with the download button.
- Large configurations: pick a single device or VDOM to keep big diagrams fast and readable.
When to use them
- Audit walkthroughs, to show findings in a way everyone understands.
- Architecture reviews, to check that what's deployed matches your design.
- Customer and management meetings, where a picture says more than a table.
